Rubber Compression Molding

Since 1944, Mid-States Rubber has been a leader in the field of custom molded rubber and plastic products serving the appliance, automotive, material handling, fitness, and other heavy industries.

The project highlighted here was a valve seal for use in the fire protection industry. Our expert team helped the customer design the product, and advanced equipment was used for compression molding and rubber to metal bonding. The part was composed of ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM) rubber. It featured dimensions of 285.8 mm in length, 263.2 mm in width, with a tightest tolerance of RMA A3. All work was done to the highest quality and met customer specifications and Rubber Manufacturing Association standards. The project represents a total run of 5,000 pieces, delivered in four weeks.
