IATF 16949:2016 certified Molded Compressor Mount
Mid-States Rubber operates a large facility equipped with over 70 dedicated compression and transfer molding presses that enable us to achieve high volume manufacturing on tight delivery timelines. We produced the compressor mount shown here in large quantities for a customer in the appliance industry. Our engineers developed a compression and transfer molding process that would allow these small parts to be made very economically and with short cycle times. Tooling design allowed us to use multi-cavity molds to produce multiple components with each cycle, and cryogenic finishing enabled us to cleanly remove the flash while maintaining part integrity and critical tolerances.
Featuring 50 durometer Shore A EPDM rubber construction, we molded these components, which featured dimensions of 1.25” in width and 0.938” in height, to within RMA A3 tolerances for commercial products. Our integrated processes enabled us to achieve uniformity over the entire 750,000 unit production run, which we accomplished on 4 week timetable.

Rubber Grommets
Mid-States Rubber is a manufacturer of all types of rubber grommets that are suitable for use in a wide range of industries. Depending on the composition of the material, grommets can be manufactured to have heat, flame, ozone, fuel, and oil resistance.
